Used this for a backpacking trip through Europe. Worked amazing and fit in overhead bin of some flights. Super convenient though. No having to roll luggage around people or carry it on trains, subways, taxis, etc. I would just place it in front of me so I had eyes on it. 
Or I put a lock on it. 
Has a side pocket to fit shoes.
