Old Silver Pulsar Womans Watch

Women’s style watch, chain is quite tight on me and I have small wrists. 

Looks to be in good condition, but I don’t know about watches. The date is wrong and I’m not sure how to change it and see if it keeps time properly :( I was given this as a gift a few years ago and never used it, so it’s just been laying around. I *think* it can work but please keep in mind that I’m not sure… The second hand doesn’t seem to be moving but I don’t know if it just needs a new battery. Also when I unbuckled the chain it worked, but now I can’t get it to snap back in right so not sure if Im just doing something wrong…
