Extremely rare, large example of Jan Johansson Swedish Graal style for Orrefors Glass vase. Signed and numbered by artist. Early example of his work from 1969. 
Jan Johansson came to Orrefors in 1969 after training as a silversmith in Stockholm at the College of Arts, Craft and Design. As an artist, he is interested in refining the optical effects of pure, sculptural crystal. 
Cut crystal sculptures set on a solid marble stand are an important component of his art glass production. 
7” high by 6” in diameter. Weighs well over 7 pounds. 
No chips or cracks or damage noted other than some scratches on bottom of base

Orrefors Crystal Chimney Sweep Figurine

Since 1898, art and crystal glass for everyday use has been produced under the brand of Orrefors. At their glassworks in Kosta, their skilled glassworkers are joined by several of Sweden’s most prestigious designers in developing the design, craftsmanship and new techniques. At all glassworks, we use the same designers and in many cases the production techniques developed by ourselves in Småland, Sweden.

This bowl comes in its original box with paperwork. It is vintage and when it was purchased it was stored away and never used. It is a beautiful piece in an excellent condition.
