Andrea by Sadek TEA CUP MUG “FLORA BELLA

For your consideration is this lovely set of two tea cups produced by Andrea by Sadek from 1998 until 2006. The bottom of each cup reads "Adapted from a French porcelain dessert set made for the United States president James K. Polk in 1846 / Winterthur® / ADAPTION / Andrea by Sakek / Made in Japan". One cup is adorned with lovely coral colored peonies whilst the other has adorable pink sweet peas. The floral panel is centered upon a mint green background with gold decorative border. The background and border extend to the handles...noted on the peony cup appears that during manufacturing, the pattern stamp did not strike the handle properly and thus there is a break in the pattern. Each cup is free of any chips, cracks, crazing or abrasions. They each measure 3 inches in diameter x 2.5 inches in height and most likely have a capacity of 4 ounces. Lovely Victorian Styled pieces!!
